Position Description

A structured outpatient exam group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to perform Veteran Medical Disability Exams (VA DBQs) in Lubbock, Texas. This is a part-time, flexible, hybrid opportunity with no minimum hour commitment and no nights, call, or weekends.

This is an evaluation-only role — no prescribing, no treatment plans, and no follow-up care. Providers complete focused history and physical exams, document objective findings, and submit standardized VA Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs). Documentation is completed remotely after clinic sessions.

Ideal for detail-oriented clinicians who prefer predictable workflows and structured exams. New graduates welcome.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct structured VA disability exams (DBQs)

• Perform focused history and physical assessments

• Review records and document objective findings

• Submit completed DBQs accurately and timely

• Use electronic documentation platform

• Maintain professional and forensic exam standards

Schedule & Compensation

$30 per completed DBQ (avg ~$60–$100+/hour depending on pace)

• Flexible scheduling — choose your availability

• No nights, call, or weekends

• Defined clinic blocks | Documentation remote

• $5,000 bonus after 500 accepted DBQs

• Malpractice coverage provided

Qualifications

• Active Texas NP license

• FNP preferred

• No prior VA exam experience required

• Strong documentation skills

• Comfortable in structured, evaluation-only setting
